To organize, execute, market and oversee all sports programs for Parks and Recreation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning, marketing, scheduling, organizing and supervising sports programs; compiling detailed participation, expense and revenue reports; purchasing and overseeing concession and equipment supplies; The candidate must be able to build interpersonal relationships with youth, parents, coaches, personnel and other cities/districts. Qualified candidates should have a degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or related field, or a minimum of five years related experience. Must be an effective communicator with public relation skills. Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and have the ability to develop a strong rapport with other departments, employees, districts and participants. The ideal candidate possesses problem solving abilities, the ability to work collaboratively, an understanding of the unique role that parks and recreation plays to a diverse population and is a self-starter.
