Munford Fire Department is combination department that employs 12 full time firefighters, 1 Chief, 6 volunteer firefighters and 1 part time inspector.  Located in the heart of Munford, MFD houses two engines, 1 ladder and 1 brush truck.  MFD answers 1200 calls a year which includes structure fires, grass fires, medical calls and motor vehicle crashes.  The department also has 6 Hazmat Technicians.  Munford Fire Department stands ready to provide the best possible protection for the residents of Tipton County.

Mission Statement

The Munford Fire Department provides fire protection, Rescue and Emergency Medical Service response services to the residents in the community.  The priorities of this department are clear: Life Safety, Emergency Incident Stabilization and Property Conservation.

Our current ISO rating

The current rating for the City of Munford is a Class 4 as determined by the Insurance Services Organization (ISO).  This translates to a 40% savings in homeowners insurance as compared to a Department with a Class 10 rating.  Each insurance company has different policy charges.  It is recommended that every homeowner check with their individual insurance company on their costs and comparisons with other companies.
